Every year, I make a New Year’s resolution but I never actually follow through. I realized that if I never commit, I’ll never succeed at anything. So this time, I’m sincerely going to try my best.

• Study harder. I’ve mastered the art of getting by in school, but I really need to step it up. If I don’t push myself to get even better grades, I’ll just seem like a bad candidate when it comes time to apply for colleges. 

• Exercise. I am honestly out of shape. I look fine, but I’m out of shape. If I don’t start doing frequent exercise, I’m probably going to die of heart problems at age 60. I always spend so much time online, yet I can never set aside a fraction of that time to work out. I should start jogging, or get back into yoga. Probably both.

• Be more social. It’s time to break out of my introvert shell and go meet some people. I’m tired of staying at home with nothing to do. If I don’t go out more, I’ll probably regret it when I’m old and don’t have the chance to have those teenage experiences anymore.

• Drink more water. I know that sounds like a dumb goal but due to the lack of exercise, I’m never thirsty, so I hardly ever drink anything. And that’s bad for my body. It dries out my skin and my hair. So that’s another thing to work on.
