Anonymous said: i am 17 years old and i have NEVER used make-up for any parts on my face before except maybe for concerts (when i was a little kid) or 8th grade graduation. :) but someone was always doing it for me. can you suggest any light make-ups for beginners that are easy to use and look nice?

Hm if you’re a beginner then you should buy drugstore brands to try out first since it’s more affordable. n__n

Before I apply foundation I use Smashbox Photo Finish Primer to make it look smoother. For foundation, I use Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse. I don’t like it to be cakey so I only use around HALF a pump’s worth of foundation on my entire face. Mostly I focus on areas like dark circles under the eyes and the crease of my nose. You can also use powder afterward to set the foundation and make it last longer. You can find pressed powder or translucent powder at the drugstore as well.

For eyeshadow, I use Urban Decay’s Naked Palette. It’s pretty expensive though, like $50. Any eyeshadow will work fine, really. I just wanted to splurge one time. I also the the Primer Potion that came with it. Basically it just helps the eyeshadow stay on longer. :3

I use a felt tip eyeliner from ELF. It’s only $1 at Target. I prefer liquid because it dries and doesn’t smudge throughout the day. It’s harder to use than pencil eyeliner though.
